Spain is one of the markets that can boast of improvement!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gross gaming revenue (GGR) in Spain <\/strong>recorded significant growth in the second quarter of the year, increasing by 55.1% year-on-year to 312.6 million euros.  This strong performance was driven by significant increases in sports betting winnings, which more than doubled during the period.<\/p>\n<p>Total sales for the quarter beat last year&#8217;s figures and were also 2.5% higher than the first quarter, according to data released by the regulator <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casinonewsdaily.com\/spain\">Spain,<\/a><strong>  the General Directorate of Gambling Regulation (DGOJ).<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Increased revenue from casinos and slot machines<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The games of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casinonewsdaily.com\/mobile-casino-apps\/\">casino<\/a>which have proven to be one of the most popular games, developed in the second quarter with a total of .  the highest GGR <strong>\u20ac149.9 million, which corresponds to an increase of 27.9% <\/strong>compared to the previous year and an increase of 4.5% compared to the first quarter.  The game stands out <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casinonewsdaily.com\/slots-rules-strategy\/\">One-armed bandit<\/a>whose income is growing <strong>29.9%, <\/strong><strong>Year after year as the GGR for live roulette increases by <\/strong><strong>8.9%.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>He <\/strong>Element of <strong>Sports betting<\/strong> experienced the most impressive development with a GGR that reached <strong>133.3 million euros<\/strong>which is amazing <strong>Increase of 118.9% <\/strong>compared to the previous year.  GGR from pre-event sports betting also contributed and grew <strong>1.8% <\/strong>compared to the second quarter, while the GGR of live betting increased by <strong>3.5%<\/strong>.  The bets <strong>from<\/strong><strong>    horse race <\/strong>They increased by 22.7%, even though the GGR of other sportsbooks fell by 15.1%.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Other gaming industries<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>The GGR of poker <\/strong>reached 25.8 million euros, 27.6% more than in the previous year, but 5.8% less than in the first quarter.  The GGR <strong>from<\/strong><strong>    Tournament poker <\/strong>increased by approximately 38.1% in the second quarter of 2022, with the GGR for cash poker also recording an increase of 4.9%.<\/p>\n<p>However, <strong>GGR Bingo <\/strong>contributed and achieved <strong>\u20ac3.5 million, 5.5% more <\/strong>than last year and also 5.5% more than in the second quarter of this year.  The GGR of the tenders was <strong>\u20ac140,000, a considerable sum <\/strong><strong>Increase of 1,464.9%<\/strong> compared to the previous year, but 41.5% less than in the second quarter.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Marketing costs and player activity<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Player bets rose nearly 20%, while payouts were 3.0% more than in 2022 but 2.3% less than the first quarter.  The total marketing spend of licensees in Spain reached <strong>\u20ac96.6 million; <\/strong>Advertising spending was up 7.7% year over year, affiliate spending was up 56.2% and sponsorships were up 56.2% <strong>it shot itself <\/strong>225.2%.  However, <strong>Promotions fell 1.7%.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The number of active gaming accounts increased by <strong>11.4% compared to the previous year to 1,134,993, <\/strong>while the monthly rate of new accounts fell 3.0% to 102,804 users.<\/p>\n<p>The DGOJ also reported this <strong>78 licensees <\/strong>offered some form of gambling in the second quarter, with 43 offering sports betting, 50 offering casinos, nine offering poker, three offering bingo and two offering contests.<\/p>\n<p>Spring: <a href=\"https:\/\/igamingbusiness.com\/finance\/spanish-gambling-revenue-q2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00bbSpanish gaming revenue increased 55.1% year-on-year to \u20ac312.6 million in the second quarter\u00bb<\/a>. <em>iGaming<\/em> <em>Business<\/em>.
